Tomás Saraceno and a new way of imagining our world
Palazzo Strozzi devoted a major project to Tomás Saraceno, the Argentine artist whose research moves between art, architecture, biology, astrophysics and engineering.
Saraceno’s suspended sculptures, collective projects and interactive installations explore sustainable ways of living and experiencing reality. His work asks visitors to reconsider how we inhabit the world and to look beyond an exclusively human point of view.
For what was described as his largest project in Italy at the time, the artist transformed Palazzo Strozzi into a connected environment combining well-known works with a major new site-specific production. The exhibition was conceived as a living organism linking human and non-human, visible and invisible.
The exhibition was curated by Arturo Galansino and produced by Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi.
